Beneath was presented in 2023 as a next-generation horror. Now players can assess what remains of the ambitious promises.
Previously, many ridiculed the term "next-gen" in relation to Beneath in the comments. The graphics do fall short of many modern standards, but it is worth remembering that there are only two developers behind the project. A demo from Camel 101 studio is now available, published by Wired Productions.
The authors call Beneath "a tribute to the golden age of PS3/X360 games, wrapped in a Lovecraftian horror."
The demo version of Beneath can be downloaded for free via the link on Steam, and the game trailer is also available.
The developers note that the release on PC, XSX|S and PS5 is coming soon. The game combines elements of horror and shooter and is expected to be released before the end of 2025.
