The PS2 classic that laid the foundation for the entire series will appear on PS5. Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered is set to release on March 19, 2026.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins producer and head of Omega Force, Tomohiko Sho, announced that the re-release is in development and ready to deliver nostalgic experiences to new and old players alike. A trailer has already been released to introduce the project, featuring footage from the original PS2 version.
Dynasty Warriors 3 is a tactical action game set in the world of the Three Kingdoms, where players can choose from over 40 officers and participate in massive 1-vs-1000 battles on huge battlefields. This version retains the key features of the 2001 original: True Musou, simultaneous two-player gameplay, and the officer development system.
Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, the graphics have received a significant upgrade. The remastered version includes content from the standalone expansion Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends: new scenarios, characters, and weapons. The game mechanics and interface have been refined for convenience while remaining true to the original.
