The PS2 classic that laid the foundation for the entire series is coming to PS5. Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered will be released on March 19, 2026.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins producer and head of Omega Force, Tomohiko Sho, announced that the re-release is in development and ready to give nostalgic experiences to new and old players. A trailer has already been published to introduce the project, including footage from the original PS2 version.
Dynasty Warriors 3 is a tactical action game set in the world of the Three Kingdoms, where players can choose one of more than 40 officers and participate in large-scale battles of 1 against 1000 on huge battlefields. This version retains the key features of the 2001 original: True Musou, simultaneous two-player play, and the officer development system.
Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, the graphics have received a serious upgrade. The remastered version includes content from the standalone expansion Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends: new scenarios, characters, and weapons. The game mechanics and interface have been refined for convenience while remaining true to the original.
