- The campaign combines linear sections with open spaces where you can choose the order in which to complete tasks. Special attention is paid to the Operation Ember Strike mission, which is a "sandbox" with complete freedom of action
- After taking heavy damage, the player enters a "wounded" state, as in multiplayer, and can be revived by a teammate
