Although the Tokyo Game Show is traditionally dedicated to Japanese projects, the Chinese studio Everstone decided to take the opportunity and showcase their game, paying tribute to national art.
Where Winds Meet is an open-world action RPG with a free-to-play online mode. It will be released in the West on November 14, 2025, so the developers are using every opportunity for promotion.
A month after the previous announcement, the studio, together with publisher NetEase Games, released a new trailer that focuses on the combat system with melee weapons.
Where Winds Meet will offer a wide arsenal: spear, sword, dual blades, throwing weapons, and even an umbrella. The developers have worked on each weapon to make the battle both intuitive and spectacular.
The studio also confirmed plans for seasonal updates every three months. The first season will add two large regions with new storylines. EverStone Studio intends to release a variety of content: new elements of the story, gameplay and map expansion, as well as limited activities for character development and social functions.
