Talk of a new version of the PlayStation 5 Pro has resurfaced after the quietly released updated PS5 Slim in Europe. The latest model received cheaper components, which affected performance, and the SSD was reduced to 825 GB instead of the previous 1 TB.
Now, it is reported that the new PS5 Pro with the designation CFI-7121 will be released in Europe at the end of September 2025. The exact changes are not yet known, but insiders promise improvements.
What has become clear is the amount of memory. Unlike the Slim, the new Pro will not lose SSD capacity — 2 TB is retained without changes to the case design. So, this is not about a PS5 Pro Slim.
It is unclear when the model will appear in America, but in Europe, the price will remain at €799.99. Most of the information about the new PS5 Slim and Pro comes from Japanese certification documents published by Kunkoku.
