The film distribution company "Volga" has presented the official dubbed teaser for the film "Return to Silent Hill" — a new adaptation of the cult horror Silent Hill 2 from Konami.
The plot focuses on James Sunderland — a man who received a letter from his deceased wife. Following her call, he goes to Silent Hill, where he encounters not only frightening visions, but also his own past. The authors promise to preserve the atmosphere of psychological horror characteristic of the original game, and expand it with the means of cinema.
The director is Christophe Gans — he directed the first "Silent Hill" in 2006. This time, the director once again returns viewers to the familiar city, covered in fog and inhabited by monsters.
The main role was played by Jeremy Irvine ("Fallen"), and the image of Mary was embodied by Hannah Emily Anderson ("Reign"). Ivy Templeton also starred in the film, returning to the role of a girl named Laura — the same character she played in the remake of Silent Hill 2 from Bloober Team.
The world premiere of the film is scheduled for January 23, 2026, and the Russian release will start a day earlier — January 22. The distributor of the film is the company "Volga".
