According to the Financial Times, EA's new owners are betting on artificial intelligence to significantly reduce EA's operating expenses and increase profits in the coming years. The use of AI will also help manage the company's large debt burden, which "has historically had minimal net debt."
It was previously reported that EA was acquired for $55 billion by a consortium including Silver Lake, the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, and the investment company Affinity Partners.
