The free racing simulator RaceRoom has received a major update. The developers have released the "Q3 2025 Update," which weighs 51 GB.
The developers noted that the game has noticeably transformed. The Steam page indicates that the entire lighting engine has been reworked: the lighting has become more contrasting and realistic, reflections have been improved, and PBR has been added. At the same time, optimization has also reached a new level, which should improve performance.
In addition to graphics, the update also affected multiplayer. The rating system has entered a new phase — matchmaking has been changed and the interface has been redesigned.
Along with the update, three new cars were added to the racing project:
- BMW M Hybrid V8
- Porsche 964
- Lamborghini SC63
RaceRoom remains one of the most actively supported free simulators, offering players a significant step forward both visually and in terms of online capabilities.
