Recently, Blizzard opened free character transfers to the World of Warcraft Mists of Pandaria Classic mega-servers. It was assumed that these servers would be, in essence, "unlimited," but practice has shown that the authors were not ready for such a number of players.
Over the weekend, the influx of those wishing to play was so great that players in WoW Mists of Pandaria Classic found themselves in queues.
A representative of the WoW Classic team addressed the players and apologized — the developers planned to increase the limit during the upcoming maintenance:
"Fixed, apologies. The new limit was supposed to take effect with the weekly [server] restart, and on Friday we were still far from it. However, there were many more users this weekend. This limit has now been increased, and there will be no more [such problems]."
