Ghost of Yōtei is just two days away from release, and Sucker Punch has revealed the details of the day one patch. Version 1.006 is mandatory for disc owners and includes significant improvements.
The update improves environment rendering, photo mode, and missions with a large number of characters. Rare crashes when loading saves or during long periods in the game have been fixed. Changes have also been made to camera behavior in combat and bugs in the Bamboo Strike and Zeni Hajiki mini-games have been eliminated.
The list of fixes covers several areas. In the performance section, ray tracing performance, photo mode stability, and optimization of missions with a large number of NPCs have been improved. In gameplay, sound errors, weapon bugs, stealth kills, and dialogues have been fixed. The camera has become smoother, and the balance of weapons and charms has been reworked, especially on high difficulty.
In animation, the transitions of cutscenes, facial expressions of characters, and movements of enemies have been improved. Intros have been updated, artifacts and incorrect weapon positions have been fixed. In the environment, the textures of mountains, caves, trees, and hot springs have been reworked. Deep snow now hides characters more realistically.
Photo mode errors, interface bugs, font and icon issues have been fixed. The number of pop-up windows at the beginning of the game has been reduced, trophy icons have been updated, the map has been improved, and new photo mode options have been added.
