Nintendo has introduced updated versions of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2, which have begun to receive scores from the media. The first reviews were positive: critics note improved graphics, reworked cutscenes, and a general visual update that made the projects brighter and more modern.
Special emphasis is placed on the fact that the collection finally included the second part, which previously often remained on the sidelines during reissues.
Journalists also praise the details added for the convenience of players: an updated interface, new features that facilitate the passage process, as well as Assist Mode, which makes the game more accessible to beginners. Thanks to these changes, the collection will attract not only fans of the originals, but also those who are getting acquainted with the series for the first time.
It is not without its drawbacks. The biggest dissatisfaction is caused by the outdated control using motion sensors, which seems inconvenient. Also, some consider the price of the set to be too high: despite the improvements, the basis of the gameplay remained the same.
The average score of the collection is now in the range of 85–88%, which is considered a high indicator for reissued games. For Mario fans, this is a chance to return to space adventures in improved quality or go through them for the first time.
