The Game Business, citing a report by Ampere analysts, reports that on PC alone, pre-orders for Battlefield 6 in Steam have exceeded 1.7 million copies. It is assumed that the new EA shooter will sell 5 million copies worldwide in its first week of sales.
Ampere also claims that 48% of Steam players who tried the Battlefield 6 beta did not return to Call of Duty. On Xbox and PlayStation, the figure for people who decided to wait for the release of the new Battlefield outside of CoD is 29% and 24%, respectively.
