Second Dinner continues to develop the card battler in the Marvel universe. The new season adds a Halloween atmosphere and heroes from the Marvel Zombies mini-series.
The new Undead Horde season has begun in Marvel Snap. The update, timed to coincide with the upcoming Halloween, is inspired by the alternative Marvel Zombies universe and offers new game mechanics and effects, zombie characters, themed locations, and also brings back some familiar modes.
During the season, players will be able to obtain at least ten cards with zombie heroes. In particular, the zombie version of Scarlet Witch is unlocked through leveling up the season pass, and zombie Deadpool can be obtained in the premium pass or from boosters. In addition to them, zombie versions of Mister Fantastic, Captain Marvel, Luke Cage, and other characters will appear.
A new mechanic is also associated with the new cards — "zombie hordes." Cards with this keyword strengthen the entire zombie horde when played. In addition to the theme of the update, two new locations are presented: "Dead Lands", which strengthen the horde at the end of each turn, and "Survivor Camp", which also affects the horde or summons new cards.
The developers will also bring back two temporary modes. Sanctum Showdown, focused on location control, will be available from October 15 to 22. And from October 27 to November 3, the Grand Arena will be held, where players fight with pre-assembled decks.
