The full-length anime "Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc" will be released in Russian cinemas on October 30. This is the first attempt to bring the franchise to the big screen, and also a direct continuation of the first season of the popular anime based on Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga.
The film adapts the "bomb girl" arc and tells the story of the mysterious waitress Reze, whose appearance completely changes the life of the main character Denji. The authors promise that the story will be noticeably more serious in tone compared to the series and will offer a mixture of drama, action, and a dark atmosphere.
The film is being created by studio MAPPA. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who previously worked on episodes of the original series, directed it. Hiroshi Seko wrote the script, and Kensuke Ushio is once again responsible for the music.
The Japanese premiere of the film took place on September 19, and the international release started on September 24. Thus, Russian viewers will see the film a little over a month later. The screening will be organized according to the pre-screening service system, like most releases in recent years.
