Remedy has delivered on its promise — update 1.30 for Control Ultimate Edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is out. The main news is free bonuses, previously only available to those who pre-ordered the game.
Now all players have received three costumes: Astral Dive Suit, Tactical Response, and Urban Response, as well as the Dr. Yoshimi Tokui's Guided Imagery Experience mission, voiced by Hideo Kojima (previously a PS4 exclusive).
The update added the ability to unlock the frame rate, 120 Hz and VRR support on all new generation consoles. This removed the fps limit in both quality and performance modes. Anti-aliasing has been improved thanks to the updated Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA), HDR has appeared, and SDR technology has been updated from 8 to 10 bits.
PS5 Pro now supports PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), which improves the rendering of contours, hair, and vegetation. Reflections in performance mode have been fixed, and texture and shadow filters have been updated.
The developers have also fixed a number of bugs on all platforms.
