The PlayStation: The Concert music program turned out to be unsuccessful. Sony has canceled most of the concerts in the USA: only five of the 16 planned performances will take place before the end of January 2026.
There have been no official comments from Sony. According to industry sources, the number was reduced due to weak ticket sales and low audience interest.
As noted by VGC, viewers learned about the cancellation by chance — tickets disappeared from the Ticketmaster website without prior announcements. Among the few concerts that have not yet been canceled, an evening in New Jersey on November 11 remains, but even there a significant portion of the seats have not been sold. Presumably, the organizers decided to reduce the schedule in order to fill the halls at the remaining shows.
The tour was supposed to be a celebration of soundtracks to Sony games — from The Last of Us to God of War. But some viewers criticized the program for focusing on new games and ignoring the classics of the 90s and 2000s. Some commentators believe that the project would look more convincing if it were dedicated to one world, like concerts for Baldur’s Gate 3 or Final Fantasy.
Concert dates scheduled for 2026 remain unchanged so far.
