Glenn Israel dedicated 17 years of his life to the Halo series.
Gaming industry veteran Glenn Israel, who worked on the Halo series for 17 years, has announced his departure from Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries). In a post on his business social networking page, he hinted at a tense atmosphere at the studio and promised to share more details about what happened next year, "when it is safe to do so."
As of today, after seventeen long years, I am officially no longer contributing to the Halo universe. I know the state of our industry seems desperate. But never forget that you are free to choose. Neither the illusion of security, nor promises of wealth, fame, or power are worth sacrificing your health, dignity, ethics, or values—and no one should force you to do so.
