According to Alinea Analytics, the new installment in the EA football series has started with outstanding success, with the majority of players on the PlayStation platform.
EA Sports FC 26, released on September 26, 2025, has shown record sales. In less than two weeks after release, 10 million copies were sold on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. At the same time, 60% of the copies went to Sony console owners.
This is an impressive but expected result for a series that has been leading the sports game segment for many years.
September was especially successful for sports projects — in addition to EA FC 26, NBA 2K26 sold well with more than 6 million copies, and Borderlands 4 and Hollow Knight: Silksong were also noted in the PlayStation sales ranking.
The top ten September bestsellers included Silent Hill f (10th place) and Dying Light: The Beast (8th), alongside classics like Grand Theft Auto V and last year's EA Sports FC 25.
