Elements of classic RTS combined in one project
There are still no new full-fledged Command & Conquer games, so RTS fans are looking at similar games. And recently, a project called Dying Breed was released, in which elements in the spirit of the C&C franchise are easily visible.
Sarnayer positions his project as "a love letter to the first generation of RTS games that created the base, a tribute to science fiction cult films, and a tribute to OST games."
Dying Breed takes place in an alternate world where World War II "ends in 1951 with a nuclear holocaust" and after 40 years of peace, a new, powerful source began to emerge from the ground. Several factions will fight for power and control.
The first reviews of Dying Breed on Steam are "mostly positive."
