The system will be called "Project Expedition".
ARC Raiders developers have stated that they do not plan to introduce mandatory global progress resets. Global wipes are useful for veterans who want a fresh start, but ignore the contribution of those who play infrequently and value their time. Instead, the game will feature a "Projects" function, available from level 20. The first major project is "Project Expedition", which will allow players to voluntarily reset their character after completing tasks.
The project works in cycles lasting 8 weeks: during this time, players contribute to overall progress (including community contributions and completing stages). On the 8th week, a window opens for summarizing the results: if all requirements are met, a reset can be activated. If the project is not ready, progress is saved and carried over to the next cycle - without loss. In the future, other projects may appear for updates, holidays, and events with different scales and rewards.
When the "Project" is activated, all elements related to character progress will be erased: levels, skills, inventory, items, workshop, and crafting capabilities. However, cosmetics (earned or purchased), achievements, ratings, and any meta-game elements, including real-money purchases, will remain untouched.
