The new full-length anime from the "Demon Slayer" franchise continues to add to its collection of records.
As it continues to run in theaters, the anime film "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle" continues to break records, surpassing even recognized masterpieces of world cinema.
According to Global Box Office, the film has grossed $128.63 million in the American box office in a month — and this is despite the fact that ticket sales for future screenings are still ongoing.
According to Box Office Mojo, the film has become the highest-grossing international release in US history, surpassing Ang Lee's "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," whose box office at the time of release was $128.53 million.
This is not the first record set by "Infinity Castle." Since its Japanese premiere on July 18 and its release in the US on September 12, the film has already become the highest-grossing anime film in history, surpassing "Mugen Train" from the same franchise.
It has also surpassed blockbusters such as DC's "Superman" and Marvel's "Fantastic Four: First Steps" in terms of box office revenue, becoming the fifth highest-grossing release of 2025 with total box office revenue of over $648 million.
