Xbox Head Sarah Bond has officially confirmed that Microsoft is working on a new generation of consoles. This was announced during an interview for Good Morning America, where Bond, along with Carl Ledbetter, Head of Xbox Design, showcased Building 87—a secret laboratory in Redmond where future devices of the brand are created.
During the demonstration of the new portable Xbox ROG Ally, developed in collaboration with ASUS, Bond spoke about the platform's prospects: "Here is where we're conceiving, prototyping, and testing the next generation of Xbox," emphasizing that work on the console has been underway for a long time.
Although technical details and launch dates were not disclosed, she noted that Microsoft's internal teams are actively developing new models, confirming Xbox's commitment to hardware evolution beyond the current generation of Series X|S. Building 87 is known as a center for top-secret developments, where the design, components, and functions of all Xbox devices are studied before the official announcement.
