Legendary guitarist and one of the founders of Kiss, Ace Frehley, has died at the age of 74. The death occurred a week after a message appeared on the musician's official Instagram page announcing the cancellation of all 2025 concerts due to health reasons. He did not have time to recover.
Frehley made history as one of the four original members of Kiss and became famous as the "Spaceman." He played in the band from 1973 to 1982, after which he pursued solo projects. In 1978, Kiss recorded four separate albums, and Frehley's record became the best-selling among them. In 1996, he returned to the band and remained with them for another six years.
Gamers also knew his work well — his guitar parts were featured in Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and the Kiss image itself appeared in Kiss Pinball and Kiss Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child.
The music world bids farewell to Ace Frehley — a man whose energy and style inspired not only rockers, but also generations of gamers.
