According to a new patent discovered by user MikeOdysseyYT, Nintendo Switch 2 will feature games from the DS handheld console.
The patent shows various implementations of the dual-screen mode, including picture-in-picture and a full dual screen. While this may be related to new game mechanics, the most likely assumption is that Nintendo plans to adapt Nintendo DS games for the Switch 2.
