Pedro Pascal, who played Joel in The Last of Us series, may appear in a new game from Naughty Dog studio — Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. This was revealed by Neil Druckmann in an interview with the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
In the conversation, he shared memories of the projects that influenced him and the experience of creating the screen adaptation of The Last of Us. According to Druckmann, the process of developing games and filming series is very similar: both require serious work at the pre-production stage. He noted that participating in the series helped him develop as an artist.
Directing several episodes of the HBO version of The Last of Us was an important experience for Druckmann. After filming the sixth episode of the second season, called "The Price", Pascal admitted that he would like to work with him again. Druckmann confirmed the mutual desire and hinted that the actor may appear in Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
It was previously reported that Tati Gabrielle and Tony Dalton, who are also familiar to viewers from the series, are already participating in the game. But Pascal, according to Druckmann, personally asked him to work on a new project.
