According to the Japanese Silent Hill account, all physical editions of the soundtrack have been canceled "for various reasons." The publisher did not specify the exact reason for the decision. Customers who pre-ordered will receive a full refund. The release was planned for December 17, 2025.
Fans reacted painfully to the news — such releases are valued by many not only out of nostalgia but also as collectibles. Now, the only way to listen to the music is to purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition or a digital upgrade to the Deluxe version.
It is unclear whether the soundtrack will later appear on streaming platforms like Spotify. Currently, Konami's decision is considered final. The company assured that refunds would be processed automatically, but the reaction of players and collectors remains extremely negative.
