The indie game market is booming in 2025 — it has never been so strong. Projects like R.E.P.O, Peak, Absolum, Ball x Pit, and Escape from Duckov are achieving impressive sales figures that were previously only dreamed of without a major publisher and huge budgets.
The latest of these games, Escape from Duckov, was released just a few days ago and has already shown outstanding results. In 24 hours, 200,000 copies were sold, and after three days, the number of purchases approached 500,000.
Yesterday, the game set a new record for the number of concurrent players — 146,000, exceeding the figure of Clair Obscur, which had a maximum of 145,000. The indie scene once again proves that small projects can compete with major releases.
