The medieval survival game The Legend of Khiimori, inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2 and Death Stranding, will have to wait. The game from Aesir Interactive will be released in early access not in November as planned, but on March 3, 2026.
The developers explained the postponement by the "excellent reception" of the demo at the Steam Next festival. The extra time will allow them to add new features and content to make the launch more fulfilling.
In the coming months, the team will focus on improving key aspects of the project, including:
- the world and the hint system;
- camera, controls and interface;
- performance and optimization.
The studio will also lower the minimum system requirements to make the game accessible to more players.
But there is also good news — the The Legend of Khiimori demo will not be removed from Steam as planned. It is available until November 30, 2025.
The Legend of Khiimori is described as a medieval survival game with elements of a courier simulator, inspired by the spirit of Mongolia. After the success of the demo, expectations for the project have grown, and Aesir Interactive has promised to "release the game in the most polished form possible".
