Payday 2 will continue to be supported by the mod community.
Recently, the Starbreeze team returned to Payday 2 to announce changes. The developers are collaborating with modders from Sidetrack, who will now be responsible for supporting the cooperative shooter:
«Sidetrack (formerly known as MUG Team) is a talented team with deep roots in the PAYDAY modding community. Their work on RAID: World War II has shown that they have the skills and perseverance needed to release quality updates over a long period of time. They know the PAYDAY 2 engine inside and out, and have already started working.»
It is expected that the first update for Payday 2 from modders will be released on October 23 — it will be "aimed at improving the stability of the game and improving the overall gaming experience."
Starbreeze itself will now be able to fully focus on the development of Payday 3.
