Director Dan Trachtenberg released an extended version of the film "Predator: Killers of Killers" two weeks after the premiere, adding a scene with the heroes of the original films.
Director Dan Trachtenberg supplemented the finale of the animated film "Predator: Killers of Killers" with a scene featuring two iconic heroes of the franchise — the legendary Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Detective Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) from the first two parts of "Predator."
According to Trachtenberg, the scene already existed in the final cut, but it had to be cut before release due to unfinished legal formalities. The extended version, which appeared two weeks later, returned the moment to its place.
The appearance of Schwarzenegger and Glover turned the ending into a kind of unification of all the films in the series, for the first time visually linking the original "Predator", "Predator 2" and "Prey" into a single universe.
Trachtenberg did not specify whether this means a possible return of Schwarzenegger in future projects, but admitted that the very idea of bringing together heroes from different eras "in one frame" seemed too strong for him to abandon it.
"I don't know what will happen next. But now the door is open."
The next film in the franchise will be "Predator: Planet of Death". The film will tell about the dangerous journey of a young predator from the Yautja clan named Dek and the synthetic Tii, who will be played by Elle Fanning. The premiere is scheduled for November 7, 2025.
