The United States Department of Homeland Security posted a meme on its X social media page with a frame from Halo, urging people to join the ranks of agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
While many commentators found it amusing that the U.S. administration is using memes from games to attract young people to the service, a large number of activists consider outrageous the use of Halo (and games in general) as a tool for promoting political ideas. Some on Reddit even believe that Microsoft should sue the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
