Fresh sales data from the US shows that Pokémon Legends: Z-A has become a real hit and confidently leads the market. Just last week, the company reported impressive global results, but now figures have emerged for the American market, where the game has literally crushed the competition.
According to analyst Mat Piscatella from Circana, Pokémon Legends: Z-A became the largest physical release in the US since The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This is especially impressive considering that part of the audience was waiting to buy until the release of Switch 2.
Interestingly, the American statistics did not take into account sales of bundles with the console, which significantly strengthened the game's performance in Europe. This means that the success in the US was achieved exclusively through sales of the boxed version.
The game was released on October 16, 2025, on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 and sold over 5.8 million copies in a week. About half of the sales were on the new console. Pokémon Legends: Z-A has become Nintendo's most successful release since Tears of the Kingdom.
Nintendo does not plan to stop: three more major projects will be released by the end of the year — Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Kirby Air Riders, and Metroid Prime 4.
