Microsoft is preparing a new console that is unlike the usual Xbox platforms. It is a full-fledged hybrid system that combines the capabilities of a PC and a console, allowing you to run a wide range of games.

According to Jez Corden from Windows Central, the device will run on Windows with an interface adapted for TVs, while maintaining the familiar Xbox menu.

The player will immediately find themselves in a familiar environment with the ability to "exit" into full Windows. This means that you can launch Steam, Epic Games Store, Battle.net, Riot Client, GOG, and any other launchers, as well as applications like Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office, from the console.

Users will be able to stay in the Xbox ecosystem with access to Game Pass, cloud saves, and classic features. With one click, you can launch games from PC, including PlayStation products: God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man via Steam or Epic Games.

Thanks to the new AMD processor and the approved project, the console will retain full backward compatibility: all games from Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the original Xbox will run natively through the new Xbox Launcher. Microsoft eliminates typical PC problems: speeds up loading, eliminates shader compilation, and introduces AI for scaling and frame generation. Smart Delivery and Play Anywhere will allow you to seamlessly switch between platforms.

The concept is based on "Xbox Ally" with ASUS, and Microsoft is planning a portable version based on the same principles.
