The failure of the cooperative shooter has hit the company's financial performance.
Remedy Entertainment has published its financial results for the third quarter of 2025 (July–September), showing a sharp increase in revenue from game sales and royalties, but also recording significant operating losses.
Total revenue decreased by 32% year-on-year — from EUR 17.9 million to EUR 12.2 million, mainly due to a drop in revenue from publisher collections. The operating result went into a deep negative of EUR 16.4 million.
The main blow to Remedy's financial performance was dealt by FBC: Firebreak. Despite the September Breakpoint update, designed to fix key issues in the game, its sales were below expectations. Remedy adjusted its long-term forecast for Firebreak and wrote off EUR 14.9 million in non-cash impairment, effectively writing off most of the capitalized development costs and publishing rights. This brought the operating margin to -135.1% of revenue for the quarter.
Against the background of losses, the company decided to cut funding for FBC: Firebreak support, redirecting resources to other projects.
There is also good news: revenue from game sales and royalties soared to EUR 6.0 million, compared to EUR 0.8 million for the same period in 2024.
