It seems that AMD is not going to discontinue the Zen 4 line and is preparing another processor — the Ryzen 5 7500X3D with proprietary 3D V-Cache technology for the AM5 platform.
Information about the new product was discovered by well-known insider momomo_us. On the website of the British distributor Westcoast UK, he found a record of a model with the code 100-000001904, which does not match any of the chips already released.
It is reported that the Ryzen 5 7500X3D will be a simplified version of last year's Ryzen 5 7600X3D and will have six cores and twelve threads. Although the exact specifications have not yet been specified, it is expected that the processor will be equipped with 96 MB of L3 cache (32 MB main + 64 MB additional 3D V-Cache layer) and operate at slightly lower frequencies compared to the older model.
It is assumed that the Ryzen 5 7500X3D will be the most affordable processor with 3D V-Cache on the AM5 platform, targeting mid-range gaming builds. Previously, the Ryzen 5 5500X3D, released under AM4, played a similar role in the AMD ecosystem.
According to sources, the official announcement of the Ryzen 5 7500X3D may take place at CES 2026, where AMD will also present the older Ryzen 7 9850X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D models.
