The Duffer brothers are preparing an epic conclusion to the story.
Netflix has released the final trailer for the fifth and final season of "Stranger Things." The trailer leads viewers to the grand finale of the story that began nearly ten years ago in the quiet American town of Hawkins.
The events of the fifth season unfold in the fall of 1987—a year and a half after the events of the fourth. The rift is still open, Hawkins is gradually descending into darkness, the government is hunting Eleven, and the heroes unite to find and destroy Vecna.
The creators of the series, the Duffer brothers, call the new season "the most ambitious and personal." According to them, the story will push all the characters to the limit, and Vecna will appear in a renewed guise—"Vecna 2.0," capable of acting not only through the Upside Down, but also in the real world.
Earlier, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, noted that the fifth season will resemble an adventure action movie in which all the characters will be fully involved in what is happening.
In addition to her, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink will return to the cast. New members include Linda Hamilton, Nell Fisher, Jake Connelli, and Alex Bro.
The fifth season will be divided into three parts: the first will appear on Netflix on November 26, the second on December 25, and the final episode will be released on December 31, 2025.
