The showrunner of the "Fallout" series has confirmed that in the second season, the project will feature the V.A.T.S. (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) system for the first time, which is well known to fans of the games. In the original games, it allows you to slow down or completely stop time in order to accurately aim and deliver a series of shots at the enemy.
In an interview for the December issue of Empire magazine, showrunner Graham Wagner spoke about a scene, a fragment of which could already be seen in the trailer. In this episode, Lucy (Ella Purnell) uses V.A.T.S. for the first time.
According to Wagner, the scene unfolds when Lucy and her companion Ghoul (Walton Goggins) engage in battle with a group of Elvis Presley impersonators known as "The Kings" near New Vegas.
"At this point, Lucy takes her first shot using V.A.T.S., when time freezes. We continue to show how she gradually adapts to the wild wasteland."
The premiere of the second season of the "Fallout" series on Amazon Prime Video will take place on December 17. New episodes will be released weekly until February 4, 2026.
