ARC Raiders rapidly burst into the Steam charts. The new shooter from Embark Studios has been released on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, gathering hundreds of thousands of players online.
The action takes place in the future, where Earth is captured by deadly ARC machines. People hide beneath the surface, while brave raiders go above for resources and fight mechanical enemies.
The game sparked interest during the testing phase, but the release exceeded expectations. Immediately after launch, the online presence exceeded 100,000 people and soon reached 264,000—a higher result than during the free tests. ARC Raiders quickly entered the list of the most popular new releases of the week on Steam.
It is noteworthy that the game started at a difficult time—after the release of Battlefield 6 and the free Battlefield RedSec mode, as well as on the eve of the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. But despite the competition, the Embark Studios project proved that a combination of survival, tactics, and dynamic firefights in a futuristic setting can attract a huge audience.
