The Pan stated that he used to frequently consult with CDPR, but now contacts with the studio are rare.
The author of the Witcher saga, Andrzej Sapkowski, has confirmed that he is not involved in the development of The Witcher 4 and has not contributed any new ideas to it. The Pan himself confirmed this at the presentation of his new book "The Crossroads of Ravens" (original Rozdroże kruków), where GamesRadar+ journalists asked about his contribution to the CD Projekt Red project.
Sapkowski noted that, unlike the earlier games in the series, where the studio periodically sought advice and clarification on the lore, such requests are now "a great rarity".
The contracts between me and people from the gaming industry are excellent now. Hopefully, it will stay that way.
