Recently, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has attracted attention by using imagery from Halo, where the parasitic race "The Flood" is compared to illegal immigrants in the country.
Recently, various departments of the U.S. presidential administration have resorted either to AI services to create quick memes, or used images from pop culture to emphasize the power of the current President Donald Trump or to promote the fight against illegal immigration.
Journalist Alyssa Mercante received an official statement from officials confirming that such materials will continue to be used:
"We will reach people wherever they are, with content that is close and understandable to them, whether it's Halo, Pokémon, \"The Lord of the Rings,\" or any other media. The Department of Homeland Security continues to focus on the flow of crimes that illegal immigrants have committed in our country. We are not going to slow down."
At the same time, the use of a well-known brand to promote a specific political agenda without permission is formally considered illegal, but Microsoft has not yet commented on the situation.
