According to the Gamalytic analytical portal, Embark Studios' multiplayer extraction shooter Arc Raiders has sold over 1.5 million copies on Steam alone in the first three days after release. The game has generated nearly $60 million in revenue, not counting sales on PS5 and Xbox Series.
The project attracted the attention of gamers even at the open beta testing stage, where almost 200 thousand players played simultaneously, and the full release allowed to exceed this figure.
Arc Raiders is temporarily in second place in popularity on Steam after Battlefield 6, and the number of simultaneous players continues to grow — yesterday there were more than 300 thousand online. The game does not use traditional "crazy" skins and crossovers, preferring to focus on gameplay.
This is an important success for the industry. The extraction shooter in the crowded genre is selling better than expected.
