After a long wait, the developers of Warframe are preparing to release the Android version.
Warframe Mobile is gradually approaching its full launch on Android. Digital Extremes has announced that closed beta testing will begin in November 2025. You can apply to participate now via the studio's official website — just specify your device model and log in with your Warframe account.
There will be no cross-platform gameplay, voice chat, or monetization system during the closed beta. Digital Extremes emphasizes that the testing is intended solely to check performance and stability on different devices. Progress from other platforms will not be transferred, and all participant data will be deleted after the test is completed.
Exact testing start dates have not yet been announced, but the team promises to share them closer to mid-November.
Warframe Mobile was first introduced in 2021, and the iOS release took place in February 2024. In the summer of the same year, the project's creative director, Rebecca Ford, noted that the Android version already exists and is technically ready, but the launch was delayed due to the small proportion of devices capable of stably supporting the game. For this reason, the studio decided to wait and assess the state of the market.
The launch of closed testing means that Digital Extremes now sees a more stable audience in the Android segment — and, apparently, intends to bring the game to a full release. If all goes well, the release of Warframe Mobile on Android may take place in the first half of 2026.
