Preparing for her role in the new "Predator," Elle Fanning studied various films from the "Alien" franchise.
Elle Fanning played two roles in Dan Trachtenberg's upcoming film "Predator: Badlands." The actress played synthetics Tiya and Tessa, created by the Weyland-Yutani corporation.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, Fanning said that the key source of inspiration for her character was "Prometheus" and James Cameron's "Aliens." According to her, together with the director, they sought to make the android Tiya an independent figure, while organically fitting into the "Alien" universe.
"[Director] Dan [Trachtenberg] and I talked a lot about 'Prometheus' and [Lance Henriksen's] Bishop. We wanted Tiya to be original, but at the same time it felt like she was from this world. Although the film takes place in the most distant future of all that we have seen before, she is the most advanced android ever to appear on the screen. Her emotions are more human, more developed. She has this empathy."
The release of "Predator: Badlands" will take place on November 7 in cinemas.
