Fallout 4 to get an update before the release of the anniversary edition

Developers have heard feedback about glitches in the VATS mechanics.

The Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition is coming soon. Bethesda has announced a special update that will bring a number of improvements and fixes.

Technical work will be carried out between November 6 and 10, during which time Fallout 4 Mods and Creation Club will be unavailable.

The developers also warned that the upcoming update will affect the menu:

The Fallout 4 update on November 10 will require changes to the main menu. Therefore, please disable any mods that modify the main menu before November 10, as they may fail after the patch is installed.

Not only will the Creations Menu be updated, but support for wide and ultrawide monitors (interface scaling) will also be added.

In addition, the VATS system will be fixed, it will provide correct information:

«VATS hit chance is now consistent across all platforms and no longer drops to 0% or shows incorrect values. Targeting enemies through walls without the Penetrator perk is no longer possible.»
