A cross-purchase symbol has been found in the PlayStation 5 firmware. The discovery was first made by data miner Amethxst, but then his research was confirmed in Dealabs, who found the same symbol in the PlayStation Store code.
Other icons found by Amethxst, such as the power saving mode, are already used in the PS5 interface. However, the "Cross-Buy" and "PS5/PC" symbols have not been encountered anywhere before. They also fully correspond to Sony's corporate design style.
It is not yet known how exactly the company intends to use these icons. The most likely version is the introduction of cross-purchases between PS5 and PC, similar to Microsoft's Play Anywhere strategy for Xbox. This will allow you to buy the game for several platforms at once.
