According to a new Deadline report, Netflix will once again turn to the world of video games, but this time it's not about series like "The Witcher" or animated projects like Splinter Cell. Together with A24, the streaming service is preparing a culinary reality show based on the popular indie game Overcooked.
As noted in the report, the Overcooked adaptation will differ from the usual cooking shows and "will offer participants the craziest challenges and the signature chaos that made the video game loved by fans."
The executive producers include Phil Duncan, Oli Divine, and Gemma Langford from Ghost Town Games, the studio that created Overcooked.
So far, neither Netflix nor A24 have commented on the Deadline publication, so details — including the release date and format of the show — remain unknown.
