The first photos from the set of the Resident Evil movie directed by Zack Creggar have appeared online. The film is being produced in Prague, where the creators have recreated the streets of Raccoon City. The photos confirm that the action will unfold against the backdrop of a winter landscape.
The new version will not directly retell the events of the original games and will offer an independent plot. The story centers on a courier who is tasked in the middle of the night to deliver a mysterious package to Raccoon City Hospital, and this leads him to the very epicenter of the epidemic.
The main role of the courier will be played by Austin Abrams, who previously starred in Creggar's previous work, "Weapons."
The premiere of the new version of Resident Evil is scheduled for September 18, 2026.
