The developers of Euro Truck Simulator 2 have announced a major update 1.57, which is available in beta on Steam. It introduces significant changes, including a rework of the graphics for the Scandinavia DLC — improved textures, road network, and new cities added.
In addition to visual improvements, the patch brings native HDR support, as well as interface optimization. The developers have improved cursor responsiveness and compatibility with various screen resolutions.
The main innovation is the dynamic loading and unloading system, first introduced in American Truck Simulator. Now this feature will appear in ETS 2 as well, initially in the Nordic Horizons region, and later in other locations.
Update 1.57 also includes a number of improvements for Scania R/S trucks and adds new objects to the Special Transport DLC, expanding transportation options and making the simulator even more detailed.
