AMD is preparing a new processor with 3D V-Cache technology. The Ryzen 5 7500X3D will be the most affordable chip in the X3D series. It is designed for gamers looking for maximum performance on a limited budget. The new product has appeared in the Geekbench 6 database, where its characteristics and performance level have been confirmed.
In a test on an ASUS ROG Strix X870-A Gaming WiFi motherboard, the chip scored approximately 2399 points in single-core and 11323 points in multi-core. For comparison, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D scores approximately 2600 and 12000 points, which is 8% higher. The difference is due to the frequencies — the 7500X3D reaches up to 4.5 GHz, with a base of 4.0 GHz, which is 100–200 MHz less than the higher-end model.
The processor retains 6 cores and 12 threads, as well as the full 96 MB of L3 cache, providing the X3D advantage in games. The TDP is estimated at 65W, like other Zen 4 chips.
According to sources, AMD is aiming for a price of up to $200, and ideally around $150, which would make the model cheaper than the Ryzen 5 9600X. The release is expected soon, probably without a major announcement. If the leaks are confirmed, the Ryzen 5 7500X3D could become the new leader in price-to-performance ratio in games.
