The fifth season of "Stranger Things" may be Linda Hamilton's last job if the actress decides to retire after all.
The performer of the iconic role of Sarah Connor admitted that she was seriously considering leaving the profession, but changed her mind after an offer from Netflix. In the fifth season of "Stranger Things", Linda Hamilton will play Dr. Kay, a government agent hunting for Eleven.
"I started discussing the possibility of retirement with my agent. I had serious problems with my hip, and I thought: if I can't work at full strength, then I don't want to be in front of the camera anymore."
According to Hamilton, just a couple of months after this conversation, the agent received an offer from Netflix — and said "yes" without hesitation.
"He didn't even ask me, he just agreed. And then there was a Zoom meeting with the Duffer brothers, who turned out to be incredibly kind."
Thus, the actress will appear on screens at least one more time before finally leaving the profession.
The final, fifth season of "Stranger Things" will conclude the main storyline of the series. The first volume will be released on Netflix on November 27. However, fans of Hawkins won't have to be bored: the streaming service has already announced an animated spin-off "Stranger Things: Tales from 1985", the events of which will unfold between the third and fourth seasons of the original.
